Pain Management, Opioid Safety, and PDMP (PMOP) Digital Campaign Guide
-
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is dedicated to enhancing pain care for Veterans through a patient-centered approach informed by the Pain Management, Opioid Safety, and Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PMOP). Recognizing that Veterans often experience more intense pain, PMOP adopts a holistic biopsychosocial model and emphasizes the use of interdisciplinary Pain Management Teams (PMTs) across all VA facilities. This initiative includes enhancing access to care, particularly through telehealth services for rural Veterans. Furthermore, the DEAN annual report merits a platinum-level MarCom Award for its engaging and innovative presentation of the office's contributions to Veterans.
